Will you have a wishing well?

Your presence is more than enough, but for those who have asked, we will have a wishing well at the cocktail hour/reception.

Any contribution will help send us on the Italian holiday that COVID cancelled, the same year we first attempted to get married. Thankfully, weddings and holidays are both worth waiting for!

What does the dress code “Cocktail / Formal” mean?

We'd love our guests to embrace the occasion and dress on the more formal side of cocktail attire.

For the men, suit jackets or blazers are encouraged. For the ladies, cocktail dresses, formal separates, jumpsuits are all wonderful options.

If you're deciding between dressing up or dressing down, please choose the dressier option.

We also recommend comfortable footwear suitable for standing and a night of dancing.

Are children invited?

While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of immediate family children. We appreciate your understanding and can't wait to celebrate with you.

What if I'm running late?

Our ceremony will begin at 5:00pm sharp. We kindly ask guests to arrive by 4:30pm to allow time to make their way through the gardens and be seated before the ceremony begins.

Will there be seating?

Yes, there will be seating available throughout the evening. However, this is a cocktail-style reception, so guests should expect to spend much of the celebration standing, mingling, eating, drinking, and dancing.

How do I find The Calyx, the gardens are huge?

The quickest and easiest access to The Calyx is to enter via Morshead Fountain Gate (Gate A), Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. For more info take a look at our MAP.

What if it rains, is there a Plan B?

In the event of wet weather, both the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved from the Courtyard into the Greenhouse at The Calyx.

The good news is that the backup plan is very simple—if you've found The Calyx, you've found us.
